Showtime announced today the first details about the Emmy darling’s forthcoming season, which premieres Sept. 29 at 9 p.m.

You’ll also learn to transfer images directly on to the wax for a beautifully rustic effect. You’ll use a heat gun, a tacking iron and a propane torch to fuse your wax depending on the requirements of each technique.

We will begin our workshop by mixing wax with pigment and material safety and then progress into multiple techniques of layering, texturing and fusing. An exploration of photo encaustics and wax on paper will conclude the session (no photography experience necessary). Designed for students who have completed beginning encaustic classes or workshops, and who wish to refine and expand upon their skills. Learn photo-encaustic techniques with a one-on-one prep "meeting" before class. Create specific textures involving scraping, building-up, escavating, embedding and eliciting ultra smooth and other surfaces. Continuing workshops are more customized to meet students specific needs in order to leave with several finished pieces. Pre-requisite: Beginning/Intro Encaustic Painting or permission of instructor.
